MODEL KIT(s) AND TECHNIQUES USED:
The base kit is Pegasus’ Nautilus from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (this is an artist’s design based on descriptions from the Jules Verne novel, and not the Disney film version). The squid base and outcropping immediately beneath the submarine was kit-supplied but blended into a larger scene using DAS modelling clay, sand and glue. The model was lit with a 9V battery and the wiring run up through one of the winding tentacles (tricky). Photos are supplied as the kit has a lot of interior detail, which is difficult to view through the window frames.
