In honour of the March 2024 100th Anniversary of the Ontario Provincial Air Service this 1/48 Ertl SR-9 model represents an aircraft taken on strength in 1938 and sports the yellow and silver scheme of the day. The FM model Reliant used the P&W 985 engine and oversize EDO 5030 floats. Research assistance was provided by archivists at the Canadian Bushplane museum in Sault Ste. Marie.
I designed and built the interior, floats, seaplane fin, decals, pitot tube, nav and landing lights,doors, and more. I designed and made the Chestnut 16 ft. canoe and painted it as a Dept of Lands and Forests.
