MODEL MANUFACTURER: Wingnut Wings (New Zealand)
MODEL CATEGORY: AIRCRAFT 2525-1/48 and Smaller-MultiWinged & Rigged
MODEL KIT(s) AND TECHNIQUES USED:

This Wingnut Wings kit was built mostly out of the box. It was airbrushed with Tamiya acrylics and Vallejo metal color (for metallics) using a Badger Patriot 105 and Harder & Steenbeck for fine detail and layering. Turnbuckles were added from Gaspatch and artist oils for interior wood effects and prop. The Daimler-Mercedes engine was enhanced with spark plugs and wiring. Lite weathering was applied to the fuselage, wings and engine. The amount of detail this kit provided, especially for the interior/engine was second to none. The “comet” marking was popular for this late 1917 version.
