The Volkwagen Beetles were built and setup to “re-create” the Beatles Abby Road album cover.
The wood base and back was painted as per the cover but with the logo revised to say ‘The Beetles”. The VW Beetles were painted and arranged as per the cover – L to R – George, Paul, Ringo and John.
Other than the obvious word play, there is a subtle joke in there if you know the cover.
