This Lancaster model – serial number KB726 – was a Canadian-built MkX Lancaster, the 27th produced by Victory Aircraft in Malton. According to historical records, the first 430 Canadian-built Lancasters mostly carried Frazer-Nash mid-upper turrets. The Martin turret appeared later, beginning with Lancaster serial KB855 and onwards through FM229. Since KB726 predates the introduction of the Martin turret (which began from serial number KB855 onward), the Frazer-Nash turret is historically accurate and correct for this model.
